MI Clinic Privacy Policy
Our product, Mobile Intelligence Clinic (MI Clinic), is a mobile app development platform for collecting patient data at the point of care. Countermind recognizes that patient information is private and has designed the MI Clinic mobile app and the MI Clinic Server to protect that information.
The MI Clinic based mobile app communicates only with the MI Clinic Server installed at the customer site and configured through the iOS Settings app and does not send any information to Countermind at any time. All communications between the MI Clinic based mobile app and the MI Clinic Server at the customer site are encrypted using HTTPS and an additional encryption layer using AES encryption. The MI Clinic based mobile app does not at any time communicate any data with Countermind. Any patient information on the mobile device is immediately deleted from the mobile device after the mobile app receives a response from the MI Clinic Server at the customer site indicating that the information was processed. In cases where connectivity between the mobile device and the MI Clinic Server at the customer site is interrupted, a patient's information may be temporarily stored in an encrypted file on the mobile device. That file will be deleted once communication is restored and its contents have been processed by the MI Clinic Server at the customer site. In addition, iOS provides encryption at rest for all of the files saved by the MI Clinic based mobile app. Although the MI Clinic based mobile app uses the built in camera to read barcodes from the video feed, no image of such a barcode is captured at any time by the MI Clinic based mobile app.
